She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Oliver and Alma Mae Showalter Hartzler; and her brother Daniel Hartzler. She is survived by: her children, Daryl Gingerich (Rosetta) of Dayton, Conrad Gingerich (Naomi) of Charlevoix, MI, Sharon Schrock (Troy) of Unity, WI and Marilyn Shaum (Thomas) of Seneca Rocks, WV; her siblings, John Hartzler (Ruby) and Naomi Heatwole (Wendell); and her sister-in-law Martha Hartzler. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bank Mennonite Church (2493 Bank Church Rd, Dayton, VA 22821). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Esther Irene Hartzler Gingerich, 78, a resident of Dayton, passed on to her eternal home on Monday, December 30, 2024 at the Heartland Home in Dayton after a 19-year journey with Parkinson's Disease.
