Daniel Earl Ritchie Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Earl Ritchie of Dayton, Virginia, who passed away on December 12, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude A. Ritchie and Minnie Ritchie (Arey); and his sister Peggy Zimmerman. He is survived by: his wife Alta Ritchie (Guyer); his daughter Ann Pittman; his grandson Zachary Pittman; and his siblings, Dave Ritchie, Samuel Ritchie and Betty Gangwer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service (208 S Main St, Bridgewater, VA 22812). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Clover Hill Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Clover Hill Fire & Rescue Squad, 2100 Clover Hill Rd., Dayton, VA 22821.
