With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Lee Fitzwater of Dayton, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2025 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Houston and Mamie Florence Leake Sites; and her husband John William "Bubby" Fitzwater. She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Wiggins (Tim) of Harrisonburg, John Fitzwater, II (Billie Jo) of Sugar Grove and Mark Fitzwater of Dayton; her sisters, Diana Guyer of Harrisonburg and Jeanie Meadows of Fredericksburg; and her grandchildren, John Kelly, Dorsey Fitzwater, Amanda Fitzwater, Joshua Fitzwater, Nicolette Fitzwater, Conrad Fitzwater, Hunter Fitzwater, Derrick Campbell and Eric Cupp. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
