Carolyn Lee Fitzwater Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Lee Fitzwater of Dayton, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Houston and Mamie Florence Leake Sites; and her husband John William "Bubby" Fitzwater. She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Wiggins (Tim) of Harrisonburg, John Fitzwater, II (Billie Jo) of Sugar Grove and Mark Fitzwater of Dayton; her sisters, Diana Guyer of Harrisonburg and Jeanie Meadows of Fredericksburg; and her grandchildren, John Kelly, Dorsey Fitzwater, Amanda Fitzwater, Joshua Fitzwater, Nicolette Fitzwater, Conrad Fitzwater, Hunter Fitzwater, Derrick Campbell and Eric Cupp. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home - Harrisonburg (3173 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
