He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hamilton Roberts and Essie Snead Roberts; and his siblings, Harold Roberts, Irvin Roberts and Faye Gilbert.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Whitten (Stephen) and Greg Roberts (Kimberly); and his grandchildren, Jacob Whitten (Amy), Sarah Jackson (Kyle), Josh Whitten (Nicole), Jason Scearce (Erica), Justin Scearce (Summer) and Olivia Roberts. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Friendship Sunday School Class at Fairview Church.
