She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Baggett Chaney and Otis Barksdale Chaney; her spouse Russell Richard Rice; her sons, Cecil and Kenneth Rice; and her siblings, Mary Jane Worley, Thomas and Harold Chaney.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Martin, Joyce McAdams and Linda Rice; her siblings, Dorothy Pixley and Marvin Ray Chaney; and her grandchildren, Candy Diane Wilford, Melissa Rose, Jennifer Wright and Michael Sheetz. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Church of God (235 Hairston St, Danville, VA 24541). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Burial Park (3049 N Main St, Danville, VA 24540).
