It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ronald J. Thompson (Danville, Virginia), who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie White Thompson and Willie Lynwood Thompson; and his grandparents, Ethel Lewis Thompson and Jefferson Davis Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Judy Thompson; his children, Jefferson Dale Thompson of Danville, VA and Robin Thompson Terry (Jeb Terry Jr.) of Manhattan Beach, CA; his sister Elaine Shelton (Samuel) of Leesburg, FL; his nephew Jimmy Burgess of Braddock Heights, MD; and his grandchildren, Emerson Terry, Harper Terry, Jeb Terry III, Madison Thompson, Mallory Thompson and Zoe Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM at the Townes Funeral Home (215 W Main St, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
