It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Alcorn Harris (Danville, Virginia), who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William F. Alcorn (Billy) and Mildred Alverson Alcorn. She is survived by: her husband Carl A. Harris; and her siblings, Brenda DeVall of Danville and William F. Alcorn (Franky). She is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Church (1013 Westover Dr, Danville, VA 24541). A reception was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to one of Becky's favorite charities, St Jude's Children's Hospital (StJudes.org), or Halifax County Virginia Paws and Claws SPCA. from where her beloved dog Rocky was adopted. (PO Box 14, South Boston VA 24592).
