She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie "Bill" Stone Shorter and Eula Adkins Shorter; her husband Glenn D. Giles; her sister Billie Ann Marilla; and her grandson Patrick Thomas Martin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tondea Giles Bailey (Bob) and Amy Giles Martin (Tom); her grandchildren, Mindy Bailey (Chad), Monica Finlay (Jamie) and Andrew Martin; her great grandchildren, Chase, Madison, Collin Lesko, Grant and Caroline Finlay; and her sister Sheila Craddock (Tom). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mount Hermon Fire and Rescue, 4268 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, VA 24540 or to a charity of your choice.
