With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Otey William Bennett of Danville, Virginia, who passed away on September 30, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Earle Bennett and Elizabeth Young Bennett; his wife Sylvia Scruggs Bennett; and his siblings, L. D., Bill, Harold Bennett, Doris B. Norcutt, Lucille B. Perkins, Jeanette B. Pruitt and Alma B. Joseph.

He is survived by: his sisters, Lottie B. Moss (Willie) and Nell B. Slayton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
