She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Smith and Mary Fitzgerald Smith; her husband James Gunn; her children, Elsie Tarrance, Clyde Gunn and Larry Gunn; and her siblings, Geraldine Boyd-Jackson, Floscille Jones, Alenia Johnson, Barbara Smith, Alonza Smith, Edward Smith and James Smith.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Vickie S. Pinchback (Andrew) of Danville, VA, Tiffany Tarrence of Detroit, MI, Shanita Gunn of Philadelphia, PA, Darryl Tarrence of Detroit, MI and Larry Gunn, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; and her siblings, Naomi Smith, Leola Smith Motley, Mary Joe Gravely of Washington, DC, Helen Smith Stackhouse of Woodbridge, VA, Willard Smith (Gurdine) of Dry Fork, VA and Arthur Smith (Mildred). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
