She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Leonard Ferguson and Lessie Burgess Ferguson; her husband Donald E. Layne; and her brother Leonard Wayne Ferguson. She is survived by: her children, Kymbra LL Bryan (Raymond) and Donald Scott Layne; her granddaughter Aiyana Leigh Layne (Yani); and her sister-in-law Mary Seamster Ferguson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Norris Funeral Services & Crematory - Mount Hermon Chapel (3995 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, VA 24540). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the Norris Funeral Home, Mt Hermon Chapel (511 Church Ave, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the North Main Baptist Church (2818 N Main St, Danville, VA 24540). A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at the Highland Burial Park (N Main St, Danville, VA 24540).
