She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Martel Lamkin, Jr. and Myrtle Gibson Lamkin; and her husband Wayne Andrew Hardy, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Wayne Andrew Hardy, Jr. (Kimberly D. Hardy) of Danville, Virginia, Pamela M. Grubbs of Danville, Virginia, Penny Shephard of Danville, Virginia, Stacy McDaniel (Kenneth) of Danville, Virginia and Kimberly L. Hardy of Danville, Virginia; and her stepson Vance Teasley of Wellston, Ohio. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ferry Road Friends Church (741 Ferry Rd, Danville, VA 24541).
