With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kittie Lee Setliff (Danville, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chesley Matkins and Carrie Gray Matkins; her spouse Decatur Setliff; her siblings, Jimmie Matkins and Betty Matkins; and her son-in-law Rich Lackman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Roberson (Dale) of Danville, Virginia, Sherry Pearson (Ronnie) of Dinwiddie and Wanda Setliff of Emerald Isle. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Swicegood Funeral Home (564 W Main St, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Dan River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (8684 NC-700, Ruffin, NC 27320).
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 19 or to St Jude.
