John Anderson Calloway Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2024, at the age of 80, John Anderson Calloway of Danville, Virginia, born in Chatham, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie H. Calloway, Sr. and Catherine Calloway Adams; his siblings, Gene Raymond Oakes, Willie Calloway, Jr. and Rose C. Carter; and his stepsiblings, Herman Adams, George Adams, Jr., Barbara Inge, Shirley Lee and Jean Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Melba S. Calloway; his son Miles Scott (Katina); his granddaughter Kaitlin Scott of High Point, NC; his siblings, Evelyn Hubbard, Sherman Calloway (Clara) and Curtis Calloway (Tracey); and his stepsiblings, Mary Carter (Cecil), Ben Adams (Ruby) and John Adams (Lila). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Burial Park (N Main St, Danville, VA 24540).
