She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Ray Melton and Mamie Gillispie Melton; her partner Polly Melton; and her great grandchild Lena Cakici. She is survived by: her children, Janet Livick (Mark), Dewey Swicegood (Peggy) and Joel Swicegood (Mollie); her grandchildren, Jessica Gower (Brendan), Lindsay Clark, Caroline Swicegood (Serdar Cakici), Laura Paige Clark, Erin Clark and John Clark; her great grandchildren, Ellis Gower, Grace Gower and Aylin Cakici; and her grandchildren, Maggie Melton Walsworth, Claire Melton and Ethan Melton.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (400 Robertson Ave, Danville, VA 24541).
