She was predeceased by: her parents, John Andrew Wilson and Edna Louise Ashworth Wilson. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Godsey; her children, Houston Hamlett, Jr. (Stacey) and Tammy Hamlett Shelton; her stepchildren, Larry W. Godsey (Teresa) and Karen G. Lewis (Scott); and her sisters, Betty Perkins and Minnie Wilson. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; and 4 step grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Swicegood Chapel (564 W Main St, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
