He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon William Mangum, Sr. and Valeria Page Mangum; his children, James William "Billy" Mangum and Connie Mangum Daniel; his brother Clyde Franklin Mangum, Sr.; and his close friends, Gracie Mae and Buster Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Walton Mangum; his daughters, Becky Mangum Dishman (Matt) and Linda Mangum Thompson; his son-in-law Marc Stevens; his grandchildren, Jessica Hinman (Matt) of Hardy, VA, Sam Daniel, Melissa Weaver (Brent), Lauren Daniel (Vince), Caleb Thompson (Marissa) of Clarksville, TN, Steven Dishman (Katie), Drew Dishman (Nikki), Ian Dishman and KC Stevens; and his great grandchildren, Easton, Carter Mullins, Rebecca Daniel, Brantley, Corbin Weaver, Hunter Burton, Lyla Thompson, Henry and Will Dishman.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel (5858 Riverside Dr, Danville, VA 24541).
