With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gilmore J. Hundley of Danville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 21, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Gilmore departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Gilmore. Though Gilmore may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Oliver Hundley and Susie Bray Hundley; his spouse Jean Willis McDaniel Hundley; his stepdaughters, Wanda Hodges and Lavonne Warner; and his siblings, Tommy Hundley and Hazel Henderson.
He is survived by: his stepson James McDaniel; and his brother Bobby Hundley (Ruby Dillard).
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Sheldon Baptist Church (2486 Old US 29 Hwy, Pelham, NC 27311).
