She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Thomas Payne and Lillie Mae Jones Payne; her husband Charles Coleman Finney, Jr.; her daughter Linda Kaye Scott; her children-in-law, Jennifer Finney and George Cousins; her great grandchildren, Josh and Alex; and her siblings, Marion Pribble, Frances Wyatt and Theodore Payne.
She is survived by: her children, Charles C. Finney, III (Deanna), Dianne Wood (Bill), Kathy Moore (Robert) and Robin Cousins; her grandchildren, Missy Bello, Sherry Willis (Mike), Ronnie Lawless, Jr., Amanda Scott, Kevin Scott, Michelle Shorter (Joe), Kelly Fitzgerald (Chase), Jill Lawson, Jodi Lewis (Frankie) and Jessica Bergstrom (Ben); her great grandchildren, Mallory, Cassie, Carly, Katie, Patrick, Noah, Katelyn, Landon, Lucas, Jaxson, Hannah, Brianna, Rylan, Michael and Lyndsey; and her sister Ann Clarke. She is also survived by 8 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel (5858 Riverside Dr, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Highland Burial Park (3049 N Main St, Danville, VA 24540).
