He is survived by: his wife Nancy Sparks Newman; his daughters, Trenace Newman Mantiply (David) and Laurie Newman Bailey (Dennis); his grandchildren, Samuel D. Mantiply (Leslie), Mollie Ann Mantiply, Joseph N. Mantiply (Ella), Austin D. Bailey and James F. Bailey (Perry); his great grandchildren, Hope Bailey, Ella Bailey, Freeman Bailey, Royall Bailey, Jones Bailey, Katherine Mantiply, Emma Mantiply and Lucy Mantiply; and his caregivers, Marie Dean, Marie Rudder, Olga Thorpe, Liz Haithcock, Sue Flowers, Carlene Wilson, Carolyn Perry, Staci Robinette, Jennifer Rudder, Tracy Tuck and Brooke Saunders. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
