He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Goody Venable and Annie Hankins Venable; and his siblings, Lucille Rodgers, Ruth Coleman, Gracie Hartridge, Mary Edna Venable, Elder Harvey Venable, Billy Venable, Walter Lee Venable, Herbert Venable, Sr., Howard Venable and James Venable.
He is survived by: his wife Lillie King Venable; and his children, Anthony Venable (Jewel) of Walkertown, NC, Troy Venable (Kim) of Danville, VA, Kelvin Venable (Wezie) of Ringgold, VA, Lakysha Thompson of Danville, VA and Eureeka Hairston of Danville, VA. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home (707 Wilson St, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
