He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Allen and Beatrice Parrish Payne; and his aunts, Virginia Parrish Gatewood and Kathleen Parrish Everett. He is survived by: his wife Debra Fowlkes Payne; his daughters, Stephanie Lauren Payne Lordi (Antonio) and Sarah Elizabeth Payne; his granddaughters, Rosetta Charlotte and Beatrice Iolanda Lordi; his sister Terri Payne Shoecraft (Bruce); his nephews, Robert Bruce Shoecraft (Lesile) and Joseph Austin Shoecraft (Jamie); his niece Julia Thomas Shoecraft (Garett); his cousins, Carol Gatewood Ballin and Susan Everett Corley; his friend Kenneth Merricks; and his cousin Lynn Everett Hall.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel (5858 Riverside Dr, Danville, VA 24541). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
