It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Marchetia Dunn of Damascus, Virginia, born in Whitetop, Virginia, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Laverne Alex and Agnes Callie Weaver Magnuson; her husband Roland Hunter Dunn; and her brothers, John Magnuson and Charles Magnuson.
She is survived by: her son Mike Dunn (Melissa Dowland); her friends, Brenda McCall and Vera Dickerson; her caregivers, Tammy Blevins, Peggy Mabe, Debbie Price, Trula Mahala, Nora Totten, Betsy Warden, Mary Ann Forrester and Marty; and also, David, Jane Clark, Dixie McCracken and Wilma Miller.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
