He was predeceased by: his father Solomon Elsberry; and his siblings, Arthur Francis Lewis, Paul Samuel Lewis, James Daniel Lewis, William Preston Lewis, Edwin Jackson Lewis, Verna Ellen Lewis, Ora Lena Hoke, Effie Lucille Price, Ruth Esther Warden, Mildred Elizabeth Blevins and Florence Selma Rowan.

He is survived by: his wife Martha Jean Lewis (Adams); his daughters, Kimberly Hope Lewis, Pamela Denise Lewis and Leigh Ann Zollo (Lyle); his grandchildren, Bethany Zollo, Jesse Hoskins, Kyra Hoskins-Power, Nicholas Zollo, Alyssa Zollo and Brennon Lewis; and his great grandchildren, Adlee Thomas and Elijah Power. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
