She is survived by: her mother Ruby McConnell; her husband Sam F. Carter; her children, Willie McVey (Debbie) and Samantha McCoury (Charles); her siblings, Harry Willis "Chopper" McConnell, Jr. (Linda), Tommy "Dude" McConnell (Audrey) and Brenda Shore Smith (Curt); her grandchildren, Bradley McVey (Shetona), Megan Ball (Isaac), Stephen McVey and Misty Thompson (Woody); her great grandchildren, Jayden, Jace, Neyland, Oaklan and Bella; and her niece Laura Surber. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Damascus Church of Christ.
