He was predeceased by: his parents, James Widener Sr. and Ruby Widener; his wife Donna Widener; and his sisters, Reba Bise (Mike) and Maggie Sluder.
He is survived by: his sons, Denny Widener (Kim Begesse), Johnny Widener (Madonna) and David Widener (Vikki). He is also survived by four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 9:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Park (21674 Monroe Rd, Damascus, VA 24236).
