He is survived by: his parent Minnie Elizabeth Otey Mahala; his children, Eddie Mahala (Buffy) of Buena Vista, CO, Mike Martin, Sherry Wagner (Lewis) of Sparta, NC and Carol Phillippi; and his brothers, Walter Mahala, Ernest Mahala, Millard Mahala, Jr., Paul Mahala and Dewey Mahala. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
