With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Evelyn Goodson (Damascus, Virginia), born in Abingdon, Virginia, who passed away on May 4, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kathleen Cumbow and Charles Cumbow; her husband Zed Dallas "Ted" Goodson, Sr.; and her brothers, Glenn Cumbow and C. W. Cumbow.
She is survived by: her children, Rachel Goodson (Thomas Soehnlen), Zed Dallas Goodson, Jr. (Patricia Ann Rutledge) and Linda Kathleen Goodson-Smith (Mark); her grandchildren, William Lee Goodson, Pamela Ann Goodson and Bret Dallas Goodson; her sisters, JoAnn Canter (Larry) and Shirley Mitchell (Frank Broyles); and her close friend Gene Mink. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
