It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil G. McAllister of Damascus, Virginia, who passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy McAllister and Lucy McAllister; his wife Elsie Miller McAllister; his grandson Michael Hayes; his siblings, Jack McAllister, Tom McAllister, Harry McAllister, Bill McAllister, Ilene McAllister Howe, Judy McAllister Alexander, Doris Ann McAllister Graybeal, Hazel McAllister Nelson and Louise McAllister; and his close friend Ruby Finley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Ann Blythe (John G. Hurley) of Abingdon, VA and Cindy G. Gibbs of Damascus, VA; his grandsons, Billy Joe Canter, Jr. (Sabrina) and James Daniel Canter; and his siblings, Nancy Gregory, Sharon Scott and Don McAllister. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
