He is survived by: his siblings, Peggy Owen Unger, Warner, Guy and Marvin Unger; his wife Robbye Unger of Daleville, VA; his sister Dottie Morcom of Forest, VA; his daughters, Susan Payne (John) of Pawleys Island, SC and Leslie Hayden (Bill) of Vinton, VA; his grandchildren, Michelle Tolbert of Charlotte, NC, Kristen Smith (Steve) of Huntersville, NC, Will Hayden of Christiansburg, VA and Drew Hayden (Delaney) of Middletown, CT; and his great grandchildren, Ella, Beau, Cooper and Palmer.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rader Funeral Home (630 Roanoke Rd, Daleville, VA 24083).
