She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Tignor and Adele Tignor; her children, Sam, William and Ellen; and her brother Wesley Tignor.

She is survived by: her husband William McPherson; her daughters, Joyce McPherson and Virginia Gordon (Eric); and her brother Forrest Tignor (Ronda). She is also survived by four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
