She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave Shinault and Corlie Hayden Shinault; her husband Earnest B. "Pedro" Sargent; and her siblings, Helen Nuckles, Nathan, Clarence and Elmer Shinault (Billy).
She is survived by: her daughter Judy Gauldin (Wayne) of Daleville, Virginia; her siblings, Lenas Hilmes of Greenville, Imogene Roy of Walterboro, Ernest Shinault of Cleveland and Ron Shinault of Richlands, Virginia; her grandchildren, Wade Gauldin of Daleville and Virginia Christina Dunn of Asheville; and her great grandchildren, Brennan Demetris, Isabella Dunn, Caleb Gauldin and Lilly Gauldin.
