It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Richardson III (Daleville, Virginia), born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on November 19, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent James J. Richardson II. He is survived by: his spouse Julia Dodson Richardson; his sons, James J. Richardson IV (Rachel Leahy) of Vienna, Virginia and Commander David K. Richardson; his daughter-in-law Mary Katherine Richardson; his grandchildren, Thomas, Joseph and Elizabeth of Annapolis; his sister Phyllis; his brother-in-law Keith Dodson (Bonnie Dodson); and his parent Elizabeth Mason Richardson. He is also survived by many extended family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Whitey Richardson to the Fincastle Presbyterian Church (108 E Back Street, Fincastle, VA 24090) or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (http://www.michaeljfox.org).
