He is survived by: his wife Nelda C. Umberger; his children, Jan Sottile (Nick), Karla Umberger and Martie Umberger (Carole); his granddaughter Niki Sottile; his great grandchildren, Bailee Barklage, Braelyn Barklage and Marley Gardner; his sisters, Louise Walters and Juanita Branscome; and his pet Gretel.

Due to Covid, the family has decided to postpone the funeral service.
