He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Samuel Pillis Sr. and Helen Thompson Pillis; and his brothers-in-law, Bart Rowe and David Bowman. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bowman Pillis; his children, Michael Pillis (Kimi), Denise Lisle (Jeremy) and Heather Pillis (Bradley Basham); his grandchildren, Taylor, Jase, Tucker, Rieley, Lindsey, Brielle, Aleyah, Olivia and Kaia; and his sisters, Becky Claggett (Mike) of Shiloh and Marty Rowe (William Elliott) of Stuarts Draft. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rader Funeral Home (630 Roanoke Rd, Daleville, VA 24083). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
