She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Kanary and Bessie Beasley Kanary; her son William Macauley; and her siblings, Frank, Charles, Raymond, Virginia, Randolph and Roland.
She is survived by: her children, Shawn Macauley of Richmond, Bruce Macauley of Mississippi, Pam Hagan of New Hampshire, Cindy Hagan (Brian) of Massachusetts, Rhonda McGraw (Frank) of Mechanicsville, Virginia and Linda Firmin (Horace) of Daleville. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
