It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen Nelms Jr. (Daleville, Virginia), who passed away on December 22, 2018, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Allen Nelms Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Sr. and Virginia. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Holliday Nelms; his daughters, Lisa Nelms and Amy Wade (David); his brother Walker Nelms (Carol); his granddaughter Abby Smith; and his mother-in-law Ruth Ann Withrow (John). He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the UVA Alumni Association or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
