He is survived by: his children, William Bennett and Karen Foster (Brian Foster); his granddaughters, Olivia and Sara Foster; his sister-in-law Ursula Bennett; his niece Jennifer Bennett-Augelli; and his nephew Arthur Bennett III.

After retiring, Donald enjoyed computers and computer programing, amateur radio operations (K4NGC), compiling and maintaining a Bennett family genealogy, Big Band music (Glen Miller) and giving donations to Christian Charity's.
