He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Junius Trent and Sally Carter Trent; his brother James Trent; and his mother-in-law Maria B. Langhorne. He is survived by: his wife Claudette Trent; his son James Trent (Jessie); his siblings, Helen Brooks, Sallie Lewis (Moses), Kathlene Jackson (Robert Jr.) and Lee R. Trent; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Nance (Rupert), Mary Robinson, Yvonne Langhorne, Everleane Randolph (Jake), Leroy Langhorne and Ron Langhorne (Karen); his aunt Elise Brown; his uncles, Robert Lee Carter (Lou Bertha) and John Lewis Carter; and his friends, Herman Trent, Stepney Randolph (Jake), Henderson Trent, Taylor Langhorne (Tate), George Hill and Harold Carter (Buster). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
