We are sad to announce that on January 29, 2025, at the age of 82, James Wesley Oliver (Cumberland, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Anna Oliver; his aunt Elizabeth Lee; his former wife Dorothy; and his daughters, Pam Oliver and Shavonne Mason.
He is survived by: his friend Necil Oliver; his children, Wesley Oliver (Karen) and Navonne Morgan (Damian); and his grandchildren, Chris, Joy, Tara, Jenise, Isaiah, Maya, Judah, Josiah, Isaac, Jacelle and Cayden.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home (64 Cartersville Rd, Cumberland, VA 23040). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (2591 Ridge Rd, Powhatan, VA 23139).
