He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gerald Whaley and Ada Whaley; his wife Margaret Shepard Whaley; his stepchildren, Hayden Smith (Denise), Mechelle McKay (Charlie) and Chris Smith (Jessie); and his siblings, Gerald Whaley (Lynda Worsham), Diane Hendrick (Ralph), Karen Ridenour (Terry) and Sharon Franklin (Allen). He was also cherished by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
