He was predeceased by: his mother Ethel Greene; his wife Carolyn J. Greene; and his father William "Bill" Greene. He is survived by: his children, Craig Richard Greene (Rhonda) and Denise Greene Barr (Charles); his sister Vernie Smith Overbey; his siblings-in-law, Russell Lee Kilby (Susie), Marcia Dennis Bilal (Aqeel) and Jacqueline Dennis Banks (Eliza); his aunt Fredericka Hill; and his grandsons, Ian Greene, Brandon Greene, Julian Greene and Charles Barr III. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Found and Sons Funeral Chapels & Cremation Service (850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701). Viewing was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (202 S West St, Culpeper, VA 22701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (822 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701-2033).
