She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Miller Carter and Ivy Dufner Carter, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband William T. Butler Jr. "Tim"; her children, William T. Butler III and Mary Elizabeth Grimes (Alton); her grandchildren, Ivy "Caroline" Butler, William "Tillman" Butler IV, Alton "Will" Grimes and C. Grimes; and her sister Macon Fooshe'Austin.
