He was predeceased by: his father Paul Justice Fortner; his wife Linda Darlene Fortner; and his brother Michael P. Fortner. He is survived by: his children, Joseph D. Fortner (Carmen), Alita M. Gilliom (William), Shane L. Fortner and Charity L. Fortner (Wallace); his grandchildren, Alisha Arrington, Kimberly Gilliom, Wynter Ford, Kiyia Thomas, Snoe Ford and Autumn Thomas; his great grandchildren, Jayden, Cameron, Gabriella and Marcel Gilliom; and his siblings, Carolyn Rennekame, Paul L. Fortner (Christie), Mary Rafizadeh (Amir), John Fortner (Debbie), Jeffrey Fortner (Beverly), Theresa Jaafari (Bashar) and James Fortner (Julie).
