With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Harrison Sasser Jr. of Culpeper, Virginia, born in Reidsville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Harrison Sasser and Cora Earl Smith Sasser; the mother of his children Ann Ipock Sasser; his former wife Dorothy Dameron Sasser; and his siblings, Dorothy Warwick, Betsy Davis, Douglas Sasser and David Sasser.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Church; his son Robert Harrison Sasser, III (Andrea); his grandchildren, Harrison Sasser (Katie), Emily Sasser and Patrick Sasser; his sister Becky Sasser Hedrick (Frank); and his sister-in-law Martha Kay Sasser. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and stepchildren.
The family suggests that any memorial donations be made to the Wake Forest Fund for Student Aid or a charity of your choice.
