He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ronald C. Paape, William R. Paape, Donna Frietag and Audrey Karver. He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Saunders (Jim) of Silver Spring, Maryland; his grandchildren, Alexandra Gibson (Shawn), Ashley Saunders and Jacob Saunders; his great grandchild Landon James; and also, Carl and Dora Paape. He is also survived by cousins, and his amazing nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Found and Sons Funeral Chapels & Cremation Service (850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church (1100 N Main St, Culpeper, VA 22701).
