She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Warren and Elsie Mae McAllister; her husband James "Jim" Richard Sykes; and her foster son Garland Stretch. She is survived by: her children, Dr. LoriAnn Stretch of Williamsburg, VA, Joseph Sykes of Boston, VA and Carolyn Christensen (Trevor) of Reva, VA; her daughter-in-law Stephanie Sykes of Reva, VA; and her grandchildren, Erin, Robert, Kayelynn, Jessica, Kevin, Sierra and James.
