He was predeceased by: his daughter Alysa Marie Dye; and his grandfather Donald Neal. He is survived by: his sons, Jonathan Lee Dye of Sperryville, VA and Hunter Chase Dye of Chantilly, VA; his parents, Judy C. Hedrick (Warren) of Remington, VA and Oscar Dye of Culpeper, VA; his grandmother Rita Neal of Culpeper, VA; his brothers, Roger Dye (Nicky) of Culpeper, VA and Andrew Dye of Remington, VA; and his significant other Michelle Martin of Remington, VA. He is also survived by many extended family & friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
