She was predeceased by: her parents, E. Russell Smoot (Buck) and Margaret Myers Hitt Smoot; and her children, Harry Crane, Jr. (Lanny) of Culpeper and Sandra Crane Fletcher of North Carolina. She is survived by: her children, Alison R. Crane of Madison, VA and James Russell Crane (Rusty) of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Fletcher Wharton, Michael Fletcher, Langdon, Lindzi Crane, Rusty, Tyler, Noelle and Keely Crane; her brother Elwood Smoot (Harlean) of Culpeper; her sister-in-law Connie Smoot of Ophelia, VA.; and her brothers, Douglas Smoot of Ophelia, VA. and Tommy. She is also survived by her family, was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy's name to the Culpeper County Animal Shelter, Culpeper County Emergency Services, or the Culpeper United Methodist Church.
