He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Tommy Kennedy (Stephanie), Elizabeth Gochenour, Patricia Pullen (Tom), Janet Dean (Bruce), William Kennedy, Ronnie Kennedy, Jimmy "Allen" Kennedy, Fred Cutsinger (Gerry), Debbie Thompson (Paul) and Susan Crump; and his sister Fran Schmidtman (Jack).
